A survey from the U.S. Travel Association found that 40% of Americans donft use all their paid vacation days. gUnfortunately, workers do not seem to realize that forfeiting their vacation time comes at the expense of their overall health, well-being and relationships,h said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association.

The same applies to small business owners, many of whom are also work martyrs.

A survey by OnDeck Capital found that only 57% of small business owners plan to go on vacation this year. Those who do wonft fully remove themselves from work. Sixty-seven percent say that theyfll check in at least once a day.

Whatfs more, nearly half (48%) of small business owners donft make taking vacations a priority.

To all the small business owners reading this: You work hard and are very dedicated to the success of your businesses. But you also deserve a break. Make sure you give yourself some time away to recharge.

Now if youfll excuse me, I have a Labor Day weekend to enjoy.
